I’m not a writer, I’m a visual person. I’ve been an “artist” for as long as I can remember. Not a fine artist, just an all around commercial artist, a tinkerer who has always loved photography, crafts of many types and trying new types of art. I’ve done my own black and white film rolling, photography and developing; silk screening; pottery as well as hand throwing and wheel throwing; painting with oils, water colors and some acrylics; all aspects of offset printing from a small offset stand alone press to a 16 unit Goss offset newspaper pre-press.
I’m also a passionate “genealogist.” After 35+ years, I consider my skills pretty good. I’mnot certified, I just do my own, personal family tree and history. I will be blogging about this here and there and adding tips.
I decided to blog mostly about photography as most people just don’t notice the very small details in this world. Macro photography captures these details. Photos of all kinds are usually a moment in time, never to be repeated. Now that everyone thinks they are a photographer, real good photography is getting very competitive!
I’ve also needed to feel the need to blog about the social sites after tgevdemise of tsu, the platform a lot of myself and other artist/photographers were using to communicate and share our works.
